Fun Crayon Valentines for Kids
“Bee Mine” valentines are a timeless favorite for kids because they are cheerful, playful, and full of personality. The bee theme naturally brings together bright colors, friendly designs, and fun Valentine messages that feel sweet without being overly complicated. It’s the kind of theme that works beautifully for classrooms, school parties, and at-home crafting with kids.

One of the best parts of a “Bee Mine” Valentine is how well it pairs with creative elements like melted crayons. Crayons are something kids already love, and transforming them into colorful shapes instantly makes Valentine’s Day feel exciting and hands-on. When combined with printable valentines, melted crayons turn into a thoughtful gift that feels both fun and intentional.
Printable valentines make this idea easy to execute, even on a busy schedule. Instead of starting from scratch, printables provide structure and consistency while still allowing room for creativity. Kids can help assemble, decorate, and personalize their valentines, which makes the preparation just as fun as the exchange itself.
This type of Valentine is especially popular in classrooms because it’s unique without being messy or overly complicated. It also offers an alternative to candy-heavy exchanges while still feeling festive and exciting. Kids love receiving something colorful they can use, and teachers appreciate how tidy and organized the final result is.
This post shares ideas for making “Bee Mine” valentines using melted crayons and printable designs. Whether you’re planning weeks ahead or assembling valentines at the last minute, this combination keeps Valentine’s Day fun, creative, and stress free.

I hope everyone had a great Valentine’s Day. I know I did:) I had the pleasure of helping/attending my daughter’s preschool class’ Valentine’s Day party. My daughter thought having Mommy therefor her party was the best thing EVER.
I absolutely loved watching how into it all she was. She put each Valentine into her friends’ bags like they were super fragile and special.. So careful and detailed. That’s my girl:)
For her Valentines I paired the valentines from my BEE Mine Valentine’s Package with some homemade bee shaped crayons for BEE Mine.
How to make Melted Crayons
Making melted crayons is a simple and creative project that kids absolutely love. This process transforms broken or leftover crayons into bright, fun shapes that feel brand new. It’s a great way to add a hands-on element to Valentine’s Day while keeping supplies familiar and affordable.
To get started, crayons are broken into smaller pieces and placed into molds. Kids enjoy choosing colors and mixing different shades together, which makes each crayon unique. Watching the crayons melt and take on new shapes is exciting and keeps kids engaged throughout the process.
Once cooled, the melted crayons pop out easily and are ready to use as Valentine gifts. They pair perfectly with a “Bee Mine” theme because of their cheerful colors and playful look. Each crayon feels special and thoughtful, even though the process is simple.
Melted crayons are also a great option for classrooms because they’re practical. Kids can use them right away, and they don’t create extra clutter. The crafting process can be done ahead of time, making Valentine’s Day prep smooth and manageable.
This activity turns everyday crayons into something creative and fun, making Valentine’s Day feel more interactive and memorable for kids.
The crayons were super easy to make. I took broken crayon pieces (I actually bought packs of crayons and broke them up, but you can do this with old crayons you have lying around the house too) and placed them into a silicone baking mold.
Here is the mold I used for these crayons I baked the crayons at 300° fro about 10 mins. I had to pull the melted crayons out and add more crayons because the cavities in the mold were pretty big. Each crayon took about 8 regular crayons to make.
Once they were done baking, I let them cool and then popped the crayons out of the mold. Easy Peasy. Once ready, I placed the crayons in plastic treat bags and tied to the valentine with ribbon….
To coordinate with her Valentines I had shirts made to match by the super talented Rachel at *golden*. They were PERFECT…Here are some pictures of my Valentines in their shirts:
HOW TO USE PRINTABLE VALENTINES
Printable valentines are one of the easiest ways to keep Valentine’s Day planning organized and stress free. They provide a clear starting point while still allowing plenty of room for creativity. When paired with melted crayons, printable valentines help turn a simple craft into a polished Valentine gift.
One of the biggest advantages of printables is consistency. Every valentine looks cohesive, which is especially helpful for classroom exchanges. Kids can still personalize their valentines by adding names, colors, or small decorations, making each one feel special.
Printable valentines also make it easy to involve kids in the preparation process. Cutting, assembling, and attaching crayons gives them a sense of ownership and excitement. This turns Valentine prep into a fun activity instead of a task.
Another benefit is flexibility. Printable valentines can be prepared ahead of time or assembled closer to the holiday. They’re also easy to reproduce, which is ideal for larger groups.
Using printable valentines helps keep everything simple, creative, and organized while still feeling thoughtful and festive.
