Llama Party Ideas
For this fun llama party, I focused on bright colors to accent the fluffy white cuteness of the llamas. The llama party tableware has a nice mixture of summery fun and bright bohemian patterns.
The cacti and bright stars mixed with cute llamas wearing party hats. Ummm…yes please!
Llama party theme
Llama makes a party theme. Kids love them because they are cute little animals that just look like they want to be snuggled.
In a world of traditional farm animals, these beauties give a little extra flair on the traditional animal themed party decor. Little girls especially, are all *love* for the llama.
Llama Decorations
In setting up this party, I used the llama tableware as inspiration. The fun photo props for the design also doubled as decorations.
For the wall behind the dessert table, I used the llama banner along with a fun colorful garland set. I love using overlapping banners.
It’s playful and gives dimension, but also is forgiving if you an uncertain about centering a banner.
Llama Party Supplies
There are lots of things to consider when you are choosing the party supplies for your party, especially when there are lots of different designs and styles available for a theme.
I recommend choosing a focus and color scheme that you like for your party, and building out from there. This helps to take the million ideas you may have and narrow them down to something practical.
For this llama party, I choose the fun colored tableware, and built my desserts and decorations around the fun llamas on the plates. This made everything so simple to style.
Llama Party Tableware
The Llama party tableware from Birthday in a Box has bright teals.pinks, yellows and purples. The design has a great deal of options. There are llama napkins and plates as well as hanging llama faces and party hats.
Having a set like this really helps to make planning a party simple.
Llama Invitations
Before you can party, you definitely need to invite your guests. When it comes to choosing the right invitations, there are three main options:
Option #1: Buy fill-in invitations. This is an easy option that only requires you to fill out the invites. If you are throwing a party for an older child, they can fill the invites out themselves.
Here are some adorable Llama themed invitations perfect for this party design.
Option #2: Have a custom invitation made that you can print and distribute. So I’m partial to this option, since I do in fact design printables for parties.
I think a custom invite is fun and saving time (although printing them can be more expensive than option 1). This would be my choice for a custom llama invitation to match this design. It’s similar in vibe and super cute.
Option #3: Send an Evite. Let’s face it…we live in a digital world and sometimes, there isn’t time to print something out.
Evite doesn’t have anything specifically narwhal, but they do have some fun options for ocean themed invites that could easily work with your theme.
Llama Party Favors
There are lots of ways to put together favors for a llama party. One idea is to have the kids “adopt llamas”. You can give stuffed llamas with adoption certificates as a fun activity/party favor.
This can even be a game where they go through an adoption process that could include cleaning and dressing the llamas and then filling out an adoption certificate.
If you want a simple llama party favor idea. You can also fill a llama favor bag with fun llama party favors.
Llama Birthday Party Food Ideas
Once you have settled on your party decorations and color scheme, you can start planning your party food. Not all food has to be themed. Sometimes, just having a pretty cake or colored frosting on your cupcakes is all you need.
If you want to have llama themed party food, you can have a blast coming up with easy or even complicated party treats to make or buy.
Llama birthday cake
A llama birthday cake is a great way to focus your desserts. Whether you make your cake itself look like a llama or you choose to put a llama cake topper on your pretty cake, there are plenty of fun llama cake ideas.

For this party, I made a simple white cake and used the cactus photo prop as a cake topper. I liked this because it coordinated with the design, without being directly llama.
Llama Cupcakes
I also made some super cute little llama face cupcakes. These were my favorite part of the whole party and amazingly simple to make.

Using the llama plates as a guide, I decorated simple llama shaped sugar cookies to look like llamas as well. These were fairly simple and so yummy.
