How to Make Bobber Cookies
Bobber Oreo pops are one of those party treats that instantly spark smiles. They are playful, nostalgic, and perfectly suited for fishing themed parties, lake celebrations, summer birthdays, or outdoor gatherings. With their bright colors and familiar shape, bobber Oreo pops feel fun without being overcomplicated, which makes them a favorite for hosts who want high impact with minimal stress.

What makes bobber Oreo pops especially appealing is how well they blend food and decor. They are not just something guests eat. They become part of the visual story of the party. When displayed thoughtfully, these pops enhance the theme and help create a cohesive party atmosphere from the moment guests arrive.
Another reason bobber Oreo pops work so well is their versatility. They can be made ahead of time, displayed in a variety of ways, and served easily without utensils. This makes them ideal for parties with kids, where convenience matters just as much as presentation.
Bobber Oreo pops also pair beautifully with other themed treats. Whether they are part of a full dessert table or a smaller snack station, they bring color and dimension that helps the setup feel complete. Their recognizable shape ties everything together and reinforces the fishing or lake theme effortlessly.
If you are looking for a treat that feels creative, fun, and practical all at once, bobber Oreo pops are a perfect choice. With the right display, they become one of those party details guests remember long after the celebration ends.

When we threw my son’s first birthday fishing party, these bobber Oreo pops were definitely the most popular treat on the table.
The kids were so excited to eat them and the vanilla yumminess of the candy melts mixed with the already awesomeness of the Oreos made them a hit with the grown-ups too! The best part of all…they are crazy easy to make.
No need to spend a ton or slave away on hard to make treats. These are easy peasy and oh so delicious!!!
HOW TO DISPLAY BOBBER OREO POPS
Displaying bobber Oreo pops is where these treats truly shine. Because they are designed to resemble fishing bobbers, presentation plays a huge role in making them look intentional and on theme. One of the easiest ways to display them is upright in containers that allow the sticks to stand tall. This immediately mimics the look of bobbers floating on water and adds visual interest to the table.
Spacing is key when arranging bobber Oreo pops. Giving each pop a little room allows the colors and shapes to stand out. Crowding them together can make the display feel messy, while a balanced arrangement keeps everything looking polished and organized.
Height variation also helps elevate the display. Mixing taller containers with shorter ones adds dimension and keeps the table from feeling flat. This makes the bobber Oreo pops feel like part of a styled setup rather than just a tray of treats.
Color coordination is another important detail. Using neutral or complementary backgrounds allows the bright bobber colors to pop. When the display supports the treats instead of competing with them, the overall look feels cohesive.
Bobber Oreo pops can also be displayed alongside other themed elements to strengthen the party design. When they are integrated into the overall setup, they become more than dessert. They become decor that reinforces the theme and enhances the entire party experience.
Truth be told…my husband was a little upset about these. He fishes with yellow/orange bobbers. When I opted for the more traditional red/white, he totally didn’t get it.
So I guess the moral of that story is…you can also make these in yellow/orange if you have a picky fisherman in your home too!!
Here is the DIY Bobber Oreo Pop tutorial:
Materials:
- Red Candy Melts
- White Candy Melts
- Lollipop sticks
- Oreos
- Mike & Ike candies (just the red ones)
- Washi Tape
- Oreo Pop Mold
Step 1:
Open up your Oreos and press a lollipop stick into the cream filling. Close the Oreo over the stick, carefully so as not to break the Oreos.
Step 2:
Melt Red Candy Melts in a microwave safe container. I can usually get about 8 Oreo pops from one bag of Candy melts. Put the Melts in the microwave for 30secs at a time, stopping to stir the candy until it is melted.
Once melted, use a soup to fill the Oreo Pop mold halfway full with melted candy.
Step 3:
Press the Oreo into the mold, almost all the way to the bottom, making sure you don’t press so far that you see the Oreo on the bottom.
Fill the candy mold until it is full and the cookie is completely covered. Use the back of a spoon to smooth the candy down on the back side. Place in the refrigerator to set the chocolate.
Step 4:
While the red chocolate is setting, cut the red Mike & Ike candies in half and set aside. Melt the white candy melts, following the directions above.
Step 5:
Using washi tape, mark off the line on the Oreo pop where you would like the white to stop. This will help you to have a smooth, straight line.
Dip the Red Oreo Pop into the White Chocolate overlapping the washi tape slightly. make sure all the red on the top of the washi tape is covered.
Gently pull back the tape.
Step 6:
Lightly push the Mike & Ike candies into the top of the Oreo pop. Place the whole pop back into the refrigerator to set.
See…I promised easy, right! You can totally do this!!!
